Adults and post-high school adults gather on the second and fourth Sunday evenings of each month for the purpose of growing as disciples of Jesus and as a community. These meetings of groups divided geographically typically consist of sharing snacks, catching up with one another, discussing an issue of importance to Christ-followers, and offering prayer needs before petitioning God on behalf of each other.
Women’s Bible study
The women of the church gather bi-weekly on Tuesday morning and weekly on Wednesday night to study God’s Word and to encourage and pray for one another. They are now studying the Bible book of James using the book Faith.
Men’s theology breakfast
The men normally meet on the first and third Saturdays of the month to visit over breakfast and to discuss a book. They are currently reading and discussing the Bible book of Galatians.
Children and youth discipleship
We believe Christian parents should be the primary disciplers of their children, but we also believe the church has an important role to play alongside parents in fulfilling the Great Commission with their children. Classes are held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday for the children and young people of the church. We are now taking a break from discipleship hour.
Adults gather at 9:30 a.m. Sunday to discuss the sermon of the previous week and to pray, especially for the corporate worship time to follow. We are now taking a break from discipleship hour.
Evangelism and service
Our church seeks to partner with need-meeting ministries in the Fredericksburg area and to initiate on its own gospel-based, gospel-sharing outreaches to those who need the mercy of God in their lives.
